We are unable to hold a World Day of Prayer service in person this year on March 5th (although we do hope to have one later in the year.) Instead the Lambourn Valley Churches will be joining with St Mary’s Richmond and Hudswell with Downholme and Marske in Yorkshire to offer the service via Zoom at 3pm on March 5th.
You may join from your digital device or your phone. The joining details for digital devices follows. Please contact me for phone dial-in details. If you cannot access the website or have any queries please contact me by phone or email:
The women of Vanuatu in the South Pacific have prepared this year’s service which is entitled Build a Strong Foundation. You are invited to bring to your screen or phone for the service a stone and a candle. The words of the service will be shown on screen, but if you are dialling in and would like a copy of the service sent or delivered to you please let me know.
World Day of Prayer is an international inter-church organisation which enables us to hear the thoughts of women from all parts of the world: their hopes, concerns and prayers. The Day of Prayer is celebrated in over 170 countries. It begins in Samoa and prayer in native languages travels throughout the world – through Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas – before finishing in American Samoa more than 36 hours later.
