Thoughts from The Vicarage with Pews News, Lambourn Lambs and a prayer
Greetings as the month of June draws to a close.
Please find attached Pews News for this Sunday when the Feast of St Peter & St Paul is being celebrated at All Saints church East Garston at 10.30. As it is the fifth Sunday of the month we hold a single service to which all from each church and visitors are warmly welcomed.
The last Lambourn Lambs of the year is being held in The Vicarage garden on Monday June 30th 10-11.30. Please bring a rug & plenty of sunscreen along with a toy or two to share! We have shade and open grass – plenty of snacks and drink! Looking forward to seeing you on what promises to be a very sunny morning – hence the move away from the open park!!!!
A prayer for this coming week:
Almighty God, from whom all thoughts of truth and peace proceed:
kindle, we pray, in the hearts of all,
the true love of peace
and guide with your pure and peaceable wisdom
those who take counsel for the nations of the earth
that in tranquility your kingdom may go forward,
till the earth is filled with the knowledge of your love;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord.
