A former research chemist and technical editor, Christine was ordained deacon in 1989 and served her curacy in Caversham and Mapledurham in the Oxford Diocese. Ordained priest in Reading in 1994, she served as a Team Vicar in Bracknell, followed by seven years as Team Rector of the Bourne Valley in Salisbury Diocese. Christine was Archdeacon of Northampton from 2005 -2013, during which time she also chaired the Peterborough Diocesan Board of Education and was a member of General Synod. On retirement she was made Archdeacon Emeritus and now lives in Lambourn. She is a member of Oxford DAC (Diocesan Advisory Committee) and is the Archdeacon of Berkshire’s deputy for matters relating to church buildings. She assists the Vicar in leading worship in all three parishes of the Lambourn Valley. In Lambourn she is co-ordinator for the church’s pastoral care team, St Michael’s Care.
