Dear Friends of the Valley
This comes to say thank you for all your prayers and care following my recent emergency operation. Sorry to say that following Dr’s orders, not to mention the Bishop’s orders, I will be away from my desk and Parish for at least a further two weeks. During this time Christine will be leading services which will continue as normal.
The good news is that I am on the way to a full recovery thanks to excellent NHS hospital care on the Isle of Wight and our local surgery who are keeping an eye!
Please find attached Pews News with advance warning of Sunday 30th services – Benefice celebration of Candlemas at St Michael’s and a Taize evening service at St James.
Healthwatch will once again be hosted by St Michael’s on Monday 24th January so do please encourage those who may benefit from this free service and of course LFTs will be available.
The Lambourn Environment Group, LEG, has been at work looking at the possibility of planting trees locally and would welcome those interested in helping out to be in touch with them via Christine 01488 674108 or 07801 096345 who would be pleased to hear of your enthusiasm!
Thanks to Christine services will continue as normal – and with many thanks to the Churchwardens all will be running smoothly across the Benefice.
Thank you for your prayers
Julie
