Thoughts from The Vicarage with Remembrance, thanks and Pews News

Greetings and please find dates, thoughts and a short prayer below with Pews News attached.

Thank you to all who came along to our services of All Souls and All Saints and to those who contributed in any way to those services. They were spirit filled and the worship bought us nearer to that communion between the church on earth and the church in Heaven. Some may say that the veil separating the two was thin. Revd Canon Pater Moger, Sub-Dean of Christchurch was warmly welcomed at the Festival of All Saints in East Garston and his excellent sermon was vey much appreciated.

It was my privilege to be invited to the American air force base at Welford at which an act of remembrance was held in the quiet as those who had lost their lives in service to the cause of freedom were remembered. I found myself with RAF aviators who shared their stories of their working lives while others asked me about prayer and wanting to know more about my faith and service as a priest. A very moving and profound few moments…. more of which I will share on Sunday!

Amen

God bless,
Julie
