Julie’s recovery from her operation was effectively put on hold yesterday when she started feeling feverish and a lateral flow test proved positive for Covid. This diagnosis is not the same as it was a year ago and the current guidance is paracetamol, lots of liquids, bedrest and isolation. In her present condition she is not even arguing! Fortunately as long as I have a negative test every day I can carry on as ‘normal’!
We are therefore very grateful to Christine for taking all the scheduled services and fielding the spiritual needs of the parishes.
Wednesday@7 continues with ‘Living in Love and Faith’ with the focus this week being Fellowship and Marriage. All are welcome to join via Zoom. The link is the usual one, on page 2 of Pews News. A few booklets are still available.
Many of you may remember the little ash pots Julie distributed last year – a sort of ‘do it yourself ashing kit’! If you have any Palm crosses lurking at home please do return them to church so we need to prepare the ash ready for this year. The Ash Wednesday service is taking place on 2nd March at 7.30.
Our PPC’s will be meeting over the next few weeks and discussing how the present Covid restrictions can be lifted in our churches, and I am pleased to hear that choral music will be returning, with plans for a Festal Evensong on Easter Day and rehearsals already underway for the Good Friday concert
Best wishes
