Greetings
After a week of being virtually unable to get out of bed, I am glad to say that Julie is slowly showing signs of recovery, but I still think that I will be in charge here for another week!
We remain indebted to Christine and the Churchwardens and Secretaries for ensuring that life in the parishes carries on as normally as possible.
The Wednesday@7 group have agreed to meet on Zoom next Tuesday at 7.00pm for Session 4 of ‘Living in Love and Faith’.
As we move slowly back to normality, there are going to be two options for the Lent Course, one starting on Monday 7th March at 2.00pm at Mellor Cottage, Lambourn, and the other via Zoom st arting on Wednesday 9th March at 7.00pm. There are unlimited places on Zoom, but if you would like to join the Monday group please contact Christine first (07801 096345 or email venchrisallsom@ppmail.com). The USPG course ‘Living Stones, Living Hope’ reminds us that we are part of a worldwide Anglican Communion. We are invited to learn from Christians who are living out their faith in very different contexts. The course booklet is available from either the Church or the Vicarage, we are asking for a £2.00 donation to go to USPG.
A reminder that the Ash Wednesday service is taking place on 2nd March and the service for the World Day of Prayer on 4th March are both at taking place at St Michael’s at 7.30.
Finally I attach a message from our Archbishops about Ukraine. For those concerned about the current situation, may I remind you that our churches are open every day for private prayer.
Best wishes
Keith
(aka Mr Vicarage)
