Thoughts from The Vicarage with Mothering Sunday and Moses colouring sheet
Greetings as we look ahead to Mothering Sunday – all welcome to come along to give thanks and celebrate all those who have mothered us.
For some Mothering Sunday may be difficult for a whole variety of reasons – if this is you, please do know you are in my thoughts and prayers as in the Pews News this week.
It’s a tradition that flowers are offered on Mothering Sunday. As you receive a flower, let it speak not only of thanks, but also of something deeper. A reminder of the vulnerability of every person, made in the image of God. A call to pray for the courage to nurture, protect, and guide the young. A call to care for and pray for those children who are vulnerable and victims of war.
St Michael’s are making poesies tomorrow Friday at 2pm – do go along to church and join in. Or please think if you’d like to donate some flowers for sharing on Sunday!
The Mum who risked everything is attached today – please do share it with children, grandchildren and bring it along on Sunday to go with our reading of Moses!

Every blessing
